Personally I feel that the link between Silverstripe and GoogleMaps is tenuous at best. I've tried different solutions but nothing has worked 'straight out of the box'. And just because a module works on one site doesn't mean that it will work on another. What does seem to be fairly consistent, after loading Googles API key and the address/coordinates of the map, is the words on your new maps page 'Map loading' (it never does...)

So when I saw an 'heavily re-written' version of GoogleMaps that allowed me to 'add your account API Key in your SiteConfig' and even 'makes use of the gmap3 jquery plugin' I got all excited. Did this mean that this module would finally install cleanly 'out of the box'?

No such luck...

Grrrr. Can anybody tell me what I've missed??

Hi, there isn't much to go on in your post, debugging will normally find an error at some level... i.e. turn a white screen of death into a stack trace, find a js error and that... once you have this your best course of action is probably reporting it as an issue on the module github page... or to hang around in IRC / Slack and ask there to help you solve the error.

Hi Swaiba, that's part of the problem. I'm not getting any error traces (site is in Dev mode on local environment)... I have posted to Github page as well, hopefully something will turn up. Can you point me in the direction of the Slack channel? Not sure where to find it. Thanks!
