Basic question about configuring

Hi, I've been using Silverstripe sites inherited from someone, and I'm still a bit confused. The message I'm getting at the moment is:
[User Error] Uncaught SilverStripe\Omnipay\Exception\InvalidConfigurationException: No allowed gateways configured. Use Payment.allowed_gateways config.

I've tried merging files from a site with a working payment gateway configuration but I must have missed something. There's an omnipay folder, and vendor/omnipay folder, and there's a payment.yml file in mysite/_config with gateway information in it... can anyone point me in the right direction?

Wordpress E-commerce

Hello,

I am just starting the creation of a wordpress forum to be used with e-commerce. I figured I would start a discussion thread here and chart my progress and ask for suggestions. Has anyone built an e-commerce website from scratch based on wordpress?
So far, I have tried wp-e-commerce but, after I installed this plug-in, I went to click on "settings" for this plug in and it told me that I did not have permissions to use the settings option. But I am the admin of the wordpress. I went through many resources E-Commerce Video to find more information and help but, did not find much information.
What do you think?
I have been told that the best known is WOOCOMMERCE. I might try that next.

Any help will be appreciated.

Silver Shop Manual Installation

Hi Guys,

I am still new with Silverstripe here and i know that it is easier and better to do the module installation using a composer. But for some reason, i have to do it manually. And so (1) i copied the entire silvershop-core-master into the root folder and (2) do the flush (dev/build?flush=all), but it gave me error and i had to delete it and flush again to be able to see my website. Do i have to do another step after the 2 steps above? Did i miss out something here?

Does anyone know what is the proper steps to do the manual installation here?

Magento extension is a good platform me and better that wordpress. I use magento 2 extensions for my online shop. Recently I decided to check new plugin here https://www.aitoc.com/en/magento_2_checkout_fields_manager.html It is Checkout Fields Manager, which has many pros, for example asking customers any questions which you want to ask.

The solution involves a fair bit of code and setup (too much to stuff into a forum post) so I've created a GitHub repo (with full instructions) for it here: https://github.com/bcairns/omnipay-freegateway

Implementation summary:

1) A "FreeGateway" Omnipay payment gateway that allows orders with no payment
2) A custom PaymentCheckoutComponent that modifies (and validates) the payment options form during checkout
3) Associated settings in config.yml and payment.yml to enable the above

Silvershop - Free / Zero-Price Products & Orders

Is it possible to have free products and/or free orders?

Our shop has purely digital products (no shipping costs to worry about), and would like to occasionally offer free promotions, either on select products or using coupons via the Discounts module (which we have set up and is working fine).

Problem 1: Products (or rather, our digital products which are actually a Buyable implementation) with zero price do not get added to the shopping cart. No errors are produced, it simply doesn't get added. Is this a core limitation of Silvershop, that things without a price are not considered valid cart items?

Problem 2: Orders with zero price cannot be completed, payment fails with "This order cannot be paid for". Which makes sense of course since there is nothing to pay for. But is there a way for "free orders" to then bypass payment entirely?

Silvershop: How to setup GlobalTaxModifier?

Hello everybody,
I´m a little lost setting up the GlobalTaxModifier. I can´t find any documentation about that.
I want to be able to have different tax rates, based on the country that the users selects for her address.

I added the modifier to Order class in my config.yml:

Order:
modifiers:
- 'GlobalTaxModifier'

Then I tried to setup my tax rates per country by adding the following t the config.yml:

GlobalTaxModifier:
country_rates:
Switzerland:
rate: 0.08
Germany:
rate: 0.19
Austria:
rate: 0.20
defaults:
Rate: 0.08

But every order jus uses the default Rate of 0.08.

How is the GlobalTaxModifier picking up the country to assign the correct value? Is that done via the CountryDropdownField in the order process - where the user selects one of the allowed countries?

Can somebody provide me some info about setting this up correctly?

Hey Guys,

I'm a bit stuck on the following:
I'd like to create a function (or use it if it's already there and i've missed it) for returning whether a product has a certain variation attribute attached to it (boolean would be fine). As a simplified example: I have a "size" attribute value type, if a product has an "XL" attribute value allocated to it under "size" in a set variation, I would want the function to return true.

Hopefully someone has got a solution for me - thanks in advance!

Hello, I am trying to configure PayPayExpress for Swipestripe myself and am having quite some problems. Can you please explain to me, what should happen after clicking Proceed to pay. Should user be redirected to paypal site or what. For me, after clicking Proceed to pay - after few seconds I get to the ss/account/order page and the status is obviously failure.
At this point I am here:

I don't know what the problem is - -could be that I forgot to add buyer email into yaml file, or something on my provider's part, or something in paypal settings... The fact is that RestfulService_Response contains some error and have no idea how to fix that.

Hello Guys - I am trying to set up an e store with swipestripe but I got stuck at payment process. I installed payment-paypal module, and it shows well within options at checkout phase. However, when I click on Proceed to pay button (on checkout page) - when Paypal express checkout is enabled - - I don't get directed to the PayPal site. I was hoping to be able to get options for paying with various credit cards on PayPal site and then redirected back to my site.
I try to figure this think out but just don't know what I should do?

Silvershop Discounts Sale Category: Search Filter modifier for 'IS NULL'

I have a site set up using Silvershop and the Discounts module and I wanted to create a 'sale category' page. The problem I am running into is that products can be given a 'Specific Price' and you can save them without having an end date entered. So a product can be on special from today indefinitely, which is fine, I want that flexibility. However I don't seem to be able to create a query to get these records where the end date is null.

$now = date('Y-m-d');
$do = SpecificPrice::get()->filter(array('StartDate:LessThanOrEqual' => $now))->filterAny(array("EndDate:GreaterThanOrEqual" => $now, "EndDate" => "NULL"));

This retrieves the products that have an end date specified, but not those that have a NULL value in the database. I have tried:

"EndDate" => "NULL"
"EndDate:is" => "NULL"
"EndDate" => ""
"EndDate" => " "
"EndDate" => NULL
"EndDate" => false

So how do I get these records in my query?

Dynamic Silvershop Sort options

I have been breaking my head on how to do a dynamic sort option, which will show/hide the sort option, depending on whether the category has the "Manufacturer" that the sorter is looking for...

Normally the sorter gets its options like this, but this will not seem to cut it for the task at hand.

If anyone can give some tips or ideas of what I can try, that would be really helpful. What am I missing?

Just to sume up my problem Product Category has Many Products Products has Many Categories Product has one Manufacturer Manufacturer has many Products
What I need to do is have a sorter that shows the Manufacturers that the products in that Category has and hide the Manufacturers that do not have Products in the Category

There is a hook in the Order model to override the reference number. Like this:

Solved : I had to install the shipping module, which I thought was optional. Something must be missing in the core module documentation, or / and in the composer dependancies.

Hi, I'm using Silvershop and I have trouble configuring shipping correctly.
What I want to do is to set up two flat rates :
- one for customers in France
- one for customers from other countries.

config.yml :

Order:
modifiers:
- 'SimpleShippingModifier'

SimpleShippingModifier.php :

private static $default_charge = 17;
private static $charges_by_country = array(
'FR' => 6
);

But nothing happens during the checkout : the shipping always sticks to 17, which is my default charge, whatever country I set in the shipping adress.
When I debug the shopping cart (dev/shop), the "country" line in the "modifiers - has many" list is empty.

What step am I missing ?

SilverShop Omnipay PayPal Internal Error

I have set up Silvershop using PayPal with the following config details:

When I come to pay for the items I get redirected to PayPal, I submit my sandbox account details and all seems well and good, then I return to my site and see the error 'Internal Error'. Once (and only once the payment went through). But this message is so vague I have no idea where to start looking to track down the actual error. Or why just once it went through.

The odd thing about the one that went through was I was redirected to the PayPal site that has the old styling, not the more modern looking site.

Has anyone else experienced this? Know where to start looking?

Silver Shop weight error

"The value for Weight must not exceed 12 characters in length"

the form converts weight value for example 3.55 to 3.5499999523163 and when i save changes it gives the error

Where to integrate PayPal IPN Listener

Hi all,

I have spent days, integrating "add to cart" and "minicart" into a SS3.2 project. The booking procedure for this project is very complex, products and prices are created on the fly, so a regular one-product::one-price approach with a catalogue and integrated gateway wasn't an option. Everything is set up finally and the payment with my sandbox test account works fine.
However I am only now realizing that I will need to also have an IPN listener to confirm that the payment was successful. I have found the PayPal php sample. But I am wondering where to actually put it and how to call it without breaking anything else. As far as I understand this php file is called directly through the PayPal config and has no UI. If I place it in my project > code folder I can't access it. Would it make any sense to add it to my Order Page and call that instead?
I'm lost. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Creating a donation form

I am wanting to create a form that links to paypal so that I can receive donations to support a charity. At the moment the site is running Silverstripe 2.4 and I have thought about installing the payment module, however I am not sure the best way to approach this? I would need to have a form to capture their details and the amount they wish to donate and then a link that takes them to paypal to donate. Any suggestions?

Coming back after a long hiatus – sounds familiar. Its that reference field I want. I'll see how I can set it. Ideally I'd reset it at the start of each year to something like 20160001.

I've noticed there's a Reference field on the Order db Object which you should be able to set somewhere and then use it in the Paypal payment.
I'm not sure where to set it though, I'm relearning everything after a long Hiatus

Selecting and sorting OrderItem in SS-Shop

I want to list all items sold in ss-shop. (although in my case, these are actually workshop bookings rather than objects)
I can select everything sold based on Order.Status and restrict it to the current year with Order.Placed but what I also want to do is:
Select all OrderItems for a single Workshop; and
List all OrderItems in alphabetical item by workshop title.

My Workshop page is an extension of Product.

Are you able to find more information on the error?
Your error logs may give you more details, or adding "?isDev=1" to the end of your link and refreashing the page.

You may find that something is missing or conflicting with another addon.

I have installed a clean copy of Silverstripe on my local server. I then went and installed SWIPESTRIPE. But when i try access this in backend, by clicking on Shop i get this error. Any idea how to correct this? I tried on live server and same thing happened.

I would like my order numbers to be a little more controllable than just starting at 00001 for the first order. Ideally, I'd like to specify an alphanumeric prefix. Any suggestions?
My immediate problem is I'm working on site No 2 and my PayPal sandbox account won't process payments because the Invoice Id has already been processed. (due to testing on site 1)

Swipestripe Paypal Module not going to Paypal for Payment

Hi there,

I have integrated the frankmullenger/silverstripe-payment module into my swipestripe project.

When i go through the checkout process and click "Process to Pay" it is not redirecting me to the paypal website to submit payment, however, what is happening is that payment is failing and i am being redirected to the AccountOrder page, where it is asking me to pay

Anyone know what is causing this or a fix?

Hey guys,

I have been setting up a SwipeStripe store and am trying to integrate the Paypal Express Checkout using the frankmullenger/silverstripe-payment-paypal.

I have followed the module installation instructions as indicated on github, however, when i go through the checkout process and click "Proceed to Pay", I am being thrown an error by the website which is stating:

[Notice] Undefined index: authentication
Line 33 in ..../payment-paypal/code/PayPalGateway.php

Which corresponds to the following line in the callAPI function;
$authentication = $config['authentication'];

It seems there is an error in retrieving the configuration of the API Details

How can i fix this error?

LeeSylvester, improving Stripe integration is very high on our list. I'm looking into this issue but it may take a few days to get you an answer. Helen, those StackOverflow posts are in reference to a different product - a store module for Expression Engine - so I don't think they will help. We're still working on version 1.2.0 of Shop so I hope he doesn't have to wait to 2.0.4. ;)

SilverStripe Shop Payment Woes

Hey guys,

So, I'm setting Stripe as my payment gateway of choice. When moving through the payment process, I get to the page where I need to enter address details and card details, but submitting presents the error "The number parameter is required". I've walked through the code and queried the form values as they pass, and I've noticed the card specific details aren't being parsed to named values that Stripe expects. All the other fields are; just not the card details. Is there a config setting or somesuch I should be specifying for this?

Has there been any updates with this? PayPal errors if I try to create a classic app, and I'd prefer to use Stripe, anyway. I get a 500 error if I try to integrate Stripe.
