Hi everyone,
I have Silverstripe installed on a Vagrant machine. I was following the Silverstripe Lessons (stopped at 4th).
Somehow, I managed to corrupt or lock the SQLite database getting the following error message when loading the home page (localhost:8080): see silverstripe_bug_homepage.PNG attached

I tried to rebuild with localhost:8080/dev/build, but it does not help.

What could I do? The error message is really cryptic to me, and it does not help me understand what could possibly go wrong with my pages.

Kind regards,
Franck*

Looking into /var/log/apache2/error.log file of my machine, I found out that I had an error in a php page. Fixing the error resolved the issue.

However I am still curious to know how I could troubleshoot such an error in a production environment where I do not have access to the /var/log/apache2/error.log file (e.g. with my hosting provider).

Kind regards,
franck*

No host should ever hide such a valuable file from you.
I would suggest a better host.

You could stick the production site into dev mode (see docs on environment management), however this is ill advised.
