Believe I got google sitemaps working under 2.4 beta1 with 2 minor changes:
- changed 2 occurences of SSDatetime to SS_Datetime (NOT SS_DateTime as the page http://doc.silverstripe.org/doku.php?id=upgrading:2.4.0 mentions)
- commented out ContentNegotiator::disable(); at line 131
