Hi all

I have a requirement that a site visitor must subscribe to the mailing list before they can view a specific content page.
Using the Newsletter module I cannont see a way of achieveing this as there should also be a method for returning visitors to identify themselves as subscribed so they don't have to re-subscribe to view the page. Upon subscription the user should also be re-directed to the specific page, so I am assuming the subscription page needs to be enhanced somehow.

Common sense tells me I should be subscribing the user into a security group to enable authentication, but i cannot work out how to enhance the subscription page to also register the user into a security group.

Can a security group be used as the mailing list source in the newsleter module?

and has anyone built something similiar that I can re-use, or is there another module out there that i have missed that would help me achieve my goal?
