Pushing content to social media

Hi SS community,

I'm trying to find out if there is any solution for pushing news data out to twitter and facebook automatically upon creation of said content?

I've found this: http://www.silverstripeclub.com/products/silverstripe-modules/social-share-silverstripe-module/

Has anyone used this social share module? I'm interested in finding out whether it can work with dataobjectmanager? The content i'm wanting to share isn't page content.

If not, I'm searching for alternative solutions. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Really only interested in pushing to FB / Twitter.
