Trying to get silverstripe-googlemaps-master module to make a simple map on a page.

I have installed SortableGridField and silverstripe-googlemaps-master as googlemaps
Followed the instructions and add a page with $GoogleMaps, added a API key, added a map lat an long but my page only renders the simple template and the word $GoogleMaps
What have I missed? Also ran http://www.your-site-url.com/dev/build/?flush=all
