I'm new to Silverstripe. So far I have liked a lot what I have seen. Now I would like to know if anyone has plans of creating Facebook Connect and Google Friend Connect support. I think those technologies will become important really fast in 2009.
There has been discussion with building more of a community module for SS to extend it for the social network aspect of the ol' internet. Not really sure what came of it, probably not much. It would be found in the archives somewhere.
I'd assume eventually this gets done, but probably not for a while unless somebody in the community did it.

it's a shame, I want to integrate it into my site, I will keep it in mind when working on it, to see if it can be released.
