Hi,

So my blog was working fine until recently. The sidebar widgets have disappeared. Also the admin interface for selecting blog widgets does not display properly. It now shows as plain text. I did have the drag and drop (?) interface at one point, but I now have no way to add or remove widgets via the admin.

I've checked in on a couple of the previous (unanswered) posts about the sidebar widgets disappearing but thought I would go ahead and start a new message since I am having more than one problem in this area.

Any help would be great!

Thinking about this more .... I'm thinking something on the blog holder page was changed and saved while the widget area had this "plain text" appearance. I'm guessing this in turn treated the widget area as though nothing was selected.

Is there a way to manually add the widgets? With code or by changing a database setting? Not the best solution but I don't see how to get the drag and drop widget area working again.

So I took a look at my database. I actually have 2 databases as the site is set up locally on my computer and is also running on a demo server.

On my computer the widget table looks like this:

On my demo site the widget table looks like this:

On the demo site I was just expecting to see the widgets disabled but their records are completely missing. Can I just manually recreate the missing records? Or will that cause problems?

And why are there two archive widgets in my local database?

Any suggestions would be great!
