I have a live site that 'sometimes' (behavior keeps switching from being fine to the error.) has most of the links (any being created with the silverstripe base tag) starting with HTTPS.
The site does not use SSL.
The URL loaded in the browser is http: NOT https:
Please help... I do not know what might be causing this????
I first contacted my hosting company because the certificate mentioned Plesk (I use plesk to manage my server), but after looking at the page source it appears that links are being forced into HTTPS.
Is there a config setting I can add to stop this??
=====================
OK, after some more testing.
I have tried removing the _config.php setting, Director::forceWWW();
this allowed http://mysite.com to load, but I was surprised to see that it used the Mobile theme?
So I added it back. I am not currenlty using mobile, but have been playing around with setting it up.
====
After removing the Mobile module, I can remove the Director::forceWWW(); setting and load my site correctly with http://mysite.com
However, I still can not load https://www.mysite.com
and the original problem of the base tag getting re-written still seems to remain although I can't find a cause, it just happens now and again.
