I recently upgraded from 2.2.3 to 2.3RC2 and now when I try and visit example.com/sitemap.xml it throws:

Fatal error: Class 'GoogleSitemap' not found

Any ideas to how I can fix?

I looks like the googlesitemaps module wasn't included in rc2. We will ensure that it's included in rc3.

With help from IRC (thanks simon_w and Nicolaas) I retrieved the svn branch 2.3 that seems to have fixed this.

Is Googlesitemap supposed to be working 'out of the box' or do you have to install a module?
There was a discussion about it some time ago.
I've upgraded to 2.3.0rc3 and it's not in there.
