I recently took over the administration of our website www.ecoenergycs.co.uk which is hosted by A2 hosting. I changed the password admin pass word and around the same time they upgradedtheir MYSQL software and since then I am unable to access the website. The have not been particularly helpful and say the problem may be with silverstrip. As I am a novice to websites and hosting can someone please take a look and advise.
Thanks
Andy

mate, if thats your password to cpanel, i'd edit that post and remove them. You shouldnt really be putting that info out on the web...
I've edited EcoWarrior's post and removed the details.
EcoWarrior. You want to temporarily add line like this to your mysite/_config.php (replacing <username> and <password> with something of your choosing).
Security::setDefaultAdmin("<username>", "<password>");
Then use that to log onto the admin/security section, create the a new admnistrator account and delete any "admin" accoutn created automatically, and then remove the Security::setDefaultAdmin(); line from your _config.php
Sam, that would be a bit hard when he's unable to access the admin section :)
@AdamJ: The procedure described by Sam will actually grant the user access to the admin section (using the user/pass combo set with Security::setDefaultAdmin)
@banal: Yes I understand that, but whats the point in having an administrator login, when you can't access the website to login to?
